Scan of Xion, WHY? Axel, Roxas, Demyx

Kingdom Hearts Network's latest update includes Xion. Right in the middle is Axel shoving ice cream in Roxas' face, Roxas tries to avoid it and bumps into Xion. Both of them have sea salt ice cream. This can imply that the three of them are friends. Or, at the very least, Xion is friends with Roxas, but NOT Axel. That could be a possibility too.

Whatever the case, I can see a lot of people hating Xion now, but that's pretty typical in the Kingdom Hearts fandom. Axel/Roxas fans will probably hate her because quite a few of them have the theory that Axel makes it pretty clear that Roxas is the only one he liked(that is STILL debatable even now), and that his bond is Roxas is something that he wouldn't share with anyone else. If Axel and Xion are friends or even lovers(which I doubt), then that will DESTROY that theory and will anger quite a few people in that HUGE neck of the fandom. It wouldn't bother me much because that would open the door for Axel/Demyx even more(or so I hope).

Which leads me to Axel/Demyx/Roxas. This threesome is fairly popular in the fandom. There's not a whole lot of fic on them(this is because there's NO canon interaction between the three, so they're difficult to present), but a lot of fanart on them. Most of them are pretty cute. Just that Demyx himself is pretty hard to present because there's not a whole lot of screentime on him. Do I believe that this part of the fandom will be peeved? It's hard to say, but I find myself feeling rather unhappy. I keep thinking, if they're going to have a "threesome", why her? Why someone completely new? Why did they even HAVE to make a new character? There's 13 people in the Organization and six remain AFTER Chain of Memories. Why did a new character have to be made PERIOD? Even Luxord would have been a more feasible choice if the creators were going to have a "third" for Axel and Roxas. That way, no one has to worry about a new character being fleshed out. It's actually easier to get depth out of FEWER characters than MORE.

Would it make a difference if Xion were male? No, not to me at least. It's still a new character that probably won't add much to the story, if at all. At least Namine added A LOT to the story, but I can't see that happening with Xion. It still begs the question of WHY DID SOMEONE HAVE TO BE ADDED IN THE ORGANIZATION? There's plenty of people in it, many of whom, had less than three minutes of screentime. Now, someone new comes along, is connected with Roxas, and will probably end up with more time than THOSE WHO WERE THERE FIRST.

What if Xion were there, but Axel/Demyx/Roxas(friendship/whatever) IS shown, well, that would please ME, of course. But, it doesn't change the question of why an entirely new character for Org13. Honestly, I've been wondering about that for awhile. I know that series titles tend to add new characters instead of sticking entirely with "same old", but this game is between COM and Kingdom Hearts 2, so it's more like a 2.5 rather than a 3. Also, it's not like new characters can't come from a Disney/Final Fantasy World(obviously wouldn't be new in the truest sense, but they would be in Kingdom Hearts) OR, if that's not enough, could have been a new Twilight Town character like Olette, Pence and Hayner. Those three aren't in the Organization. Namine wasn't truly part of the Organization either.

I know it's only one shot of her with them and it doesn't bother me to see her with Roxas. Honestly, I can see Roxas getting along with most of the Organization, but with Axel around? I didn't like that very much. I just wish it was Demyx instead of Xion. I have to be honest. :/

So, why do I 'ship Axel/Demyx/Roxas? Because they are the three that "stand out" in that they were never as malicious as the others. Axel, of course, is far from pleasant, but his ill will is borne towards the right people, and beyond that, isn't as nasty as previously thought. He certainly can be vicious, but it tends to be towards those who are nasty themselves. Roxas is a warrior, but doesn't seem to have any kind of malice, which was one of the reasons why he left the Organization. Then, there's Demyx. It's still not entirely known what he was REALLY like, but from what is seen, he's cheerful and childish. He also comes across as a spoiled brat. He's in the Organization for a reason, but if he's ever malicious, it would be on the same wavelength as Axel.

And that's just it. The three of them, also known by me as "The Golden Trio", aren't entirely shrouded in darkness, if at all. One day, I'm going to have a complete manifesto of this threesome because this post is getting long enough as it is. It's probably one of the longest, I've written. Not a bad thing, though since it's been like a week since I've updated. Of course, talking about the "Golden Trio" will still be on the "TO-DO" list because I don't think I've said enough in ONE, SINGLE, "manifesto"-like post.

As for Xion, honestly, it's still wait and see with her, so it's not like I'm just dismissing her. For all we know, she could easily be an enemy pretending to be a friend. Now, THAT would be interesting.

I'm a HUGE Akuroku fan, and I am trying not to judge her. Although, from the video of the new game her dialog seems kind of whiny and her japense voice doesn't help the case. If the whole game is her whining about 'who am I', blah blah blah, and Roxas feeling sorry for her I will probably die.

i believe that demyx didn't truely deserve to die. sora goofy and donald weren't exactly treating him nice and demyx seemed the like able character in the fight.
